Story :


Navendu was a young motherless boy when his father remarried. The step mother saw the fear and doubt in the eyes of the boy and she promised him that he will be like a real son to her. Many years later hi father on his death bed took another promise from young Navendu, a promise to look after his step-brothers and sisters and step mother, as if they were all of one blood. Navendu kept his promise till they all grew up and he was like his father to them. Soon the day came when young brothers and sisters stood at the same window of life from where they have to select the road to sacrifice and the road to selfishness. The story of Do Raaste is the drama of those brothers and sisters who take the different roads. It is the drama of their love and hate. It is the drama of a rich girl's love for a poor boy. It is the drama of today's middle class trying to find the right road along which to travel the mortal journey of life. It is the drama of life itself.

Story:


To help her friend Leena, Varsha enters into a romance of convenience with Anil, the only son of a wealthy family. For Anil, Varsha is a way of renouncing his wild ways and settling down to a normal life, and of course to inherit the family wealth. Varsha, now deeply intangible in family politics meets and falls for Ajit. Ajit is a social worker who does not like rich people. Eventually love finds a way trough it all. Ajit learns of Varsha’s true identity. Anil is exposed and all ends well.

Story : Sunil


(Rakesh Roshan) is a young army officer who falls in love with Sheetal (Rekha). However Sheetal does not love Sunil and is engaged to Ajay (Sanjeev Kumar). Ajay is Sunil’s commanding officer. Sunil’s hatred for Ajay turns into awe and respect when he gets to know Ajay while working with him. Sunil realizes that love has many forms and reconciles himself to losing his beloved. Ajay dies on the battlefield and Sunil vows to take care of Ajay's widowed mother.

A spendthrift widower (Shammi Kapoor) falls in love with a woman (Hema Malini) who had secretly married her lover (Rajesh Khanna) but soon became a widow. His villainous, womanising younger brother (Roopesh Kumar) makes life difficult for her. When the villain rapes a hill woman (Aruna Irani) and she commits suicide, his nastiness is at last exposed and the two brothers doting mother (Achla Sachdev) sees the light.
